WELCOME TO WISDOM

Wisdom World School was established in the holy city of Kurukshetra under the aegis of Wisdom Social Welfare Trust on 8th February 2011. It is a co-educational, English-medium school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school is running in two beautiful, modern buildings — Junior Wing in Sector-8 and Senior Wing in Sector-4 of Urban Estate, Kurukshetra. Both the buildings are in close proximity on the same road in opposite sectors.

Wisdom World School, Kurukshetra is a complete school providing education from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary. While classes from Kindergarten to Grade V are being run in the Junior Wing, rest of the classes from Grade VI to 10+2 are being run in the Senior Wing. As far as Senior Secondary classes are concerned the school offers all the three streams… Science (Medical and Non-Medical), Commerce and Humanities.

Our Philosophy

We are deeply influenced by the educational philosophy propounded by the renowned Japanese educational reformer Kuniyoshi Obara* (1887-1977). He called his theory ‘Zenjin Education.’ The Japanese word ‘Zenjin’ means ‘whole man’ or ‘whole person.’ Thus his theory is often called ‘whole man education’ or ‘whole person education.’ We are absolutely convinced that the remedy of most of the ills that plague our educational system today lies in ‘Zenjin’ education. Obara propounded this educational theory since he strongly believed that the biggest shortcoming of the Japanese educational system was a huge deficiency in cultivating cultural and ethical values in students. Zenjin education incorporates the core values of one’s culture harmoniously into the personality.

Our Vision

Our vision has been crystalized in the very name of the school – Wisdom World School. The school has been named ‘Wisdom’ the attainment of which is and should be the true goal of education. We, at Wisdom, believe that our responsibility is not just to impart knowledge for knowledge sake but to educate the students to wean them away from the ‘darkness’ of dogmas and conventional thinking and lead them to ‘light’ of reasoning and wisdom so that they can explore new horizons. The same objective has also been conveyed through the flame in the school logo as well as our school’s tagline : LET THERE BE LIGHT.

The school has also been named a ‘world’ school because we want to nurture our children into global citizens with progressive outlook rising above the divisive thoughts of caste, creed, religion and other man-made barriers.
