Under organic farming project, students are educated about dignity of labour besides making them equipped with identifying the seeds, plants and the vegetables. As part of the programme, students also learn various agricultural techniques. The manure used for the organic farming is produced in the school only with the help of green waste and garbage. Instead of using fertilizers and pesticides, compost, neem spray and ash are used to produce organic vegetables. The vegetables grown are neatly packed and the same are purchased by parents at very nominal prices to give their wards a feeling of entrepreneurship and sense of belonging with nature. The main motive of this project is to promote awareness among the students about use of organic vegetables and fruits. They learn to recycle and manage waste and above all they become used to eating healthy greens.
