CO-SCHOLASTIC AREAS

Co-Scholastic areas offer opportunities for the development of imagination, sense of aesthetics, sensitivity, and inventiveness all of which are requirements of a balanced curriculum and lead to the all-round development of students. These are taught according to a pre-set syllabus. These areas are not formally examined at the end of each term but are graded based on students' participation and teachers' observations. ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

The Academic year is divided into two terms. The first term is from April to September, and the second term is from October to March.

Evaluation of Scholastic Area will be done through formal assessments as well as through day-to-day performance in class activities, practical assignments, classwork, homework, projects, quizzes, etc.

PLEASE NOTE:
  1. Each term has one Periodic Test and Internal Assessment.
  2. The Internal Assessment consists of subject enrichment activities, notebook work, home assignments, class discussion, quizzes, etc.
Salient Features:
  1. The Periodic Test consists of a Pen Paper test.
  2. Annual Examination of Grade VI to VIII will be based on selected portions from Term I (10% for VI, 20% for VII, and 40% for VIII) and the entire syllabus of Term II. Annual Examination for Grade IX to XII is cumulative in nature and is based on the entire syllabus for the session.
  3. A Comprehensive assessment Report Card in the form of marks, grades, and remarks is issued at the end of each term apprising the parents about the child’s performance. Final result will include 30% of Term I and 70% of Term II for grades VI to IX.
  4. Students absent at an examination for any reason will not be re-examined.
